Gallery – Crumpets
An absolute childhood moment for me eating these English classics.. The melting butter dripping through the hot, toasted crumpet then adding topping of choice..(I’ll probably ruin the moment for many now but mine being marmite as a kid and still is..;))
Yesterday I stumbled across a recipe in one of my cook books “baking with passion” by well respected baker Dan Lepard and Richard Whittington, for home made crumpets which just had to be made instantly! The recipe was easy and accurate to follow and the crumpets freeze well too, I toasted mine from frozen with said topping on and they were perfectly fine.
As a professional courtesy to all book writers, and from receiving a comment from the Editor politely asking I remove the recipe for professional reasons, I must admit to being a bit naive and new to this blogging game so I have edited my posts containing any of Mr. Lepard’s recipes and posted around them.
