  1. If anyone can give me tips how I can move the pics about to rearrange them and write headings for each one, that would be great! πŸ™‚

  2. oh those look yummy! (Where are the pics from?) I upload them from my PC and insert each one directly into the text of my post, it gives you the option to write a description on the photo or you can always just continue writing your post with the photos imbedded. There is an “upload/insert” button above the Bold and Italic functions.

  3. Thanks megalagom, both for the compliments and for the advice πŸ™‚ will try as you suggested when I get time.. I may try writing a dish description and imbed the photos between each line as I can’t figure out yet any other way.

Pics were taken from my last Head Chef role back in London. Myself and former team did this 8 course menu for a client back in Feb 2009 I think it was and are some of my personal favs I dug out from my pc

    • Correction on the dates given, was Feb 2010.. for once time not gone as quickly as it feels!

  4. Yes yes dish description would be wonderful. I’m intrigued by your very last pic.

As to displaying a “gallery” of pics, this is what I do:
    1. upload pics you want to have displayed in this post.
    2. go to html tab to edit the html code directly.
    3. where it says [gallery ...], replace it with [gallery size="small" columns="1"]. This actually makes your pictures span the entire post width. You can adjust column no. if you want but I like just having one column (so it DOESN’T look like a gallery.)
    4. then go to “upload/insert”, choose “gallery” and click “show” on each pic to add caption.
    5. remember to click “save all changes” or a buttons that says something along the line.
(p.s go to http://importedkiwi.wordpress.com/2012/01/15/mt-herbet/ to see if this is how you want your pics to display. Sorry I don’t mean to advertise my blog on your site – just trying to help. Oh note my very first pic with the map is not part of the gallery. If you really want to know how to do this, ping me on my page.)

Hope this helps. And welcome to the blogging world. I only started very recently myself (and that’s why I know it can be frustrating fiddling with pics.)

    • Thank you very much for this info, will give it a go later and see how I get on, all new to me this!

  5. Oh, sorry just realised step 1 should say:
    1. upload pics you want to have displayed in this post. Click “insert gallery”.

  6. If anyone can give advise on how to remove the lower, smaller duplicate set of images that would be great.. I tried and failed.. 😦

  7. Yay looks great now! Amazing food and each a work of art!

  8. Thanks Imported Kiwi! Couldn’t of done it without your help! πŸ™‚
